Peer Supporter

We are looking for volunteers who have experience of the ill health/injury on duty retirement process to help provide remote peer support.

Our Peer Support programme supports those going through the ill-health retirement (IHR) or Injury on Duty (IOD) retirement process with group support. The overall aim of the programme is to improve the experience of the retirement process by providing emotional and practical support to those involved in IHR or IOD retirement; to reduce isolation and prepare them for life after policing by enabling them to rebuild and recover.
